Alexa & Dylan always knew that their wedding just had to be in Ireland, and more importantly, it had to be in Cork (sure where else would you go really!).
Dylan's family are originally from East Cork, and it holds a very special place in their hearts. As their wedding planner, I had the absolute privilege of working with Alexa & Dylan to plan the most beautiful celebration at Castlemartyr Resort, where they were joined by 140 of their closest family and friends from the US and Ireland.
East Cork played a blinder for the few days, basking in the most glorious sunshine with the most unforgettable sunsets. The celebrations started at their epic welcome party with live Irish music, an abundance of beautiful heartfelt speeches and even more pints! Rumour has it some didn't make it back to the hotel until the early hours of the morning.
Alexa & Dylan carved out some time before the ceremony for their first look, while their guests gathered by the castle. Then it was time to coordinate the processional of all processionals, with twenty four people walking down the aisle, emerging from the ruins of the castle. It was AMAZING! Did I cry? Of course I did!
The rest of the day was just as fabulous, with a wonderful drinks reception in the gardens. Guests then made their way to the ballroom, which had been transformed with luxurious linens, beautiful florals, an abundance of candlelight and bespoke stationery. Every detail was so carefully considered. Did I cry again when Alexa & Dylan saw the ballroom for the first time? Of course I did!
