MARINA & HARRY

A MARQUEE CELEBRATION DURING STORM AMY IN WEST CORK

Marina & Harry’s West Cork wedding was one of those weekends that felt cinematic from start to finish, the kind you simply couldn’t recreate if you tried.

Travelling from the UK, with many of their guests coming from London, they brought everyone to Crookhaven for a full-scale celebration set against one of the most dramatic stretches of coastline in Ireland. Storm Amy had swept through the day before, making the journey to Crookhaven an adventure in itself for many, but by the time the wedding day arrived, what was left behind was something pretty incredible.

The tail end of the storm still lingered in the air, shifting skies, and that deep, rich light you only get in West Cork in autumn. The landscape had completely come alive; colours intensified, the sea still restless, and everything feeling a little more electric than usual. It had that almost Wuthering Heights feel to it, untamed, romantic, and completely unforgettable.

Marina & Harry were married in St Brendan’s Church in Crookhaven. This is an intimate, beautiful little church that feels deeply rooted in the landscape around it. Sitting quietly just outside the village it really is a truly special place.

After the ceremony Marina & Harry made their exit in style heading off for some gorgeous photos in a convertible Mercedes. While they took photos their guests gathered in O’Sullivans pub for a proper West Cork welcome. Traditional Irish music filled the space, guests enjoyed glasses of champagne with the prettiest of wedding cakes. Pints and pints of Guinness were being poured at speed. The warmth and cosiness of O’Sullivans was the perfect start to the celebrations.

From there, everyone made their way to the bespoke marquee overlooking the beach, where the Atlantic was still crashing dramatically below. The setting was epic, wild, atmospheric, and completely immersive, with the energy of the storm still in the air.vA seriously special wedding that was bold, beautiful, and full of character. Exactly what West Cork does best.
